It’s summer around the canals of Birmingham, and
five very bored 12 year-old boys steal a canal boat only to discover
it’s full of black market cigarettes. When the buyer rings the mobile
phone left behind by the owner of the boat, the boys launch themselves
into a grown-up world of smuggling on the high seas - and the English
Channel…

Darren Rapier is a talented and versatile writer with a number of plays
under his belt as well as sitcoms and screenplays short-listed for
awards and competitions, including the BAFTA Carl Foreman Award and BBC
Talent sitcom Search 2000. Recently produced writing includes the plays
Worlds Apart, Extensions Of Love and People
In Glass Houses, as well as short film It Is/The Race
as well as episodes of BBC ONE’s Doctors. Darren is also an
