Feature [Romantic black comedy]
Writer: Lee Murphy
He’s only 16 but already tired of life. He’s not a bad student, but
he’s not great, either; no one really likes him, but no one hates him.
On one more lonely night, he finds a chatroom on the internet for
people thinking about committing suicide. There he meets her. Unlike
him, she’s popular and an excellent student, but she’s finding the
increasing pressure to be perfect from both friends and parents
impossible to cope with. They soon meet, but as they begin to hatch
their elaborate suicide pact, they also fall in love.
An eccentric black comedy with a genuinely romantic
heart and ultimately upbeat take on adolescent angst that tells you
life isn’t worth dying for!
