23 June 2009 - Night of the Hell Hamsters can now
be viewed online in its glorious B-movie entirety on MySpace, YouTube
and Shooting People. In other news, Eel
Girl just keeps going. After screening at Dresden, the Brussels
Fantastic Film Festival and Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival in April,
it's just screened at the Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto and
will be part of the special touring screening of the Dresden Film
Festival this summer.
2 April 2009 - Eel
Girl will be screening at three festivals in April: the Amsterdam Fantastic Film
Festival, the Brussels
Fantastic Film Festival and
the Dresden
International Short Film Festival.
16 January 2009 - Eel Girl has won Best Horror at the
6th London Short Film Festival and was nominated for the UK Film
council Award for best short film, bringing its total haul of awards
and nominations to 13 and 6 respectively.
02 January 2009 - Elisabeth Pinto will be
attending the prestigious Berlinale
Talent Campus
(6th-13th February 2009).
20 October 2008 - Over the summer, Nimble
Pictures's Elisabeth Pinto - alongside Bex Hopkins
- got
attached to one of the feature projects
taking part in The
Big Pitch, a competition with £500,000 up for grabs to make a
film
with - where the audience gets to choose which film gets made.
Elisabeth's feature is broad rom-com Til
Jihad Do Us Part, written by newcomer Shai Hussain. Jihad has now made it to the
final round with three other projects. Final voting will take place on
Saturday 6th December following a live pitch in Newcastle as part of
the Northen Lights
Film Festival.

has already been selected for the 2008 London
International Festival of
Science-Fiction and Fantastic Film. Night of the Hell Hamsters,
meanwhile, will be coming out on DVD in the US in March as part

2007 - Shooting has completed on Paul
Campion's Eel Girl, a dark
tale of a
scientist's obsession with the creature he's studying... Shooting took
place at Weta
Workshop
in Wellington, New Zealand, with Elisabeth Pinto producing alongside
Jenn Scheer. Overseeing the make-up effects and part of
the set building was oscar-winner Richard
Taylor and Gino Acevedo.
The Director of Photography was Richard
Bluck,
whose
credits include Black Sheep
and Lord of the Rings.
